7 DAYS HO CHI MINH CITY - CU CHI TUNNELS - CAI BE HOMESTAY - CAN THO - CHAU DOC
DAY 1 : HOCHIMINH ARRIVAL (D)
Meet at Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. After that, visit to the War museum, strolling down city center for photo taking at Opera house, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post office.
Dinner and overnight in HCMC.
DAY 2 : HALF DAY CUCHI TUNNELS (B)
After breakfast, we depart for Cuchi. This underground tunnels network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during our struggle for independence. Before exploring the system, we watch a short documentary film of how this extraordinary tunnels constructed. We then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels ( with 3 levels ). Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of war. Return to city center. Free at leisure for the rest of day. Overnight in Hochiminh city.
DAY 3 : HOCHIMINH – CAIBE/ HOMESTAY (B,L,D)
Departure for Cai Be. On arrival, cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables to see Cai Be colorful floating market .Then, we stop at local workshops where you can see how to make rice paper, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn ...
To see how the locals make some special products: making rice-net for spring-rolls, fish sauce & Soya sauce, cooking salt, sewing coconut-leaves for cottage roof.
Lunch at local house. After that, the rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and to enjoy the peaceful time and visit a nursery garden to meet the real famous farmers – Mr Tam Ho or his son who is very successful in Vietnam agriculture.
Check-in local house for overnight stay. From your staying, you can make your own bike trip through village paths to see the local farms, houses, real life and the ancestral ways to pick up fruits in Mekong Delta.
Night activities: we can help the host to prepare dinner. Enjoy tea or rice wine ! Overnight at local house.
DAY 4 : CAI BE – CHAU DOC (B,L,D)
Breakfast and walk along the village to enjoy the fresh air in the morning. Boat trip to visit the brick kilns, floating village and learn how to catch fish. Our last stop will be Vinh Long market.
Proceed to Chau Doc. A short stop at incense stick making village on the way in Long Xuyen.
On arrival at Chau Doc, visit the Sam mountain to enjoy the a breath-taking view and enjoy the sunset on the top of Mountain. Dinner and overnigh in Chau Doc.
DAY 5 : CHAU DOC/ TRA SU FOREST - CAN THO CITY (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we drive about 20 KM to Tra Su Cajuput forest. Here, we will have a chance to enjoy precious moments living in harmony with nature as well as the wholesome atmosphere. With about 3 hours boat trip ( motor ride and rowing boat ) , we move along the green mysterious canals with the lovely landscape as the scenery drifts along both river banks, breathe fresh air as well as listen to the magical music performed by the birds of the forest and other jungle insects and animals.
After lunch, depart for Can Tho city.
Dinner and overnight in Can Tho.
DAY 6 : CAN THO/ FLOATING MARKET – HO CHI MINH CITY (B,L)
Early morning, take boat trip to see Cai Rang floating market.This is one of the largest floating market which brings insights of typical rural life in Mekong Delta. After that, we continue on our riverine route to reach a noodle and a rice paper factories. The next stop is a rice processing factory where you'll learn the many steps that transform "rice with a brown cover" to the delicious and beautiful rice grain that we consume daily.
Lunch before returning to HCMC.
Free time for the rest of day.
DAY 7 : HO CHI MINH DEPARTURE (B)
Free time till transfrerred to airport for departure flight
