5 DAYS HOCHIMINH -CUCHI- MEKONG - CAN GIO FOREST

DAY 1 : HOCHIMINH ARRIVAL (D)

Meet on arrival and transferred to hotel for check-in. Free at leisure till dinner. Overnight in Hochiminh city

DAY 2 :  CUCHI TUNNELS  & CITY TOUR  (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we depart for Cu Chi. This underground tunnels network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. Before exploring the system, we watch a short documentary film of how this extraordinary tunnels constructed. We then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels ( with 3 levels ). Also on display are various man traps and the remains of war

After lunch , return to city center. We will visit the Independence Palace which was the residence of the President of the former South Vietnam until 1975; continue to the War Remnant Museum which comprehensively documents the travails of the long Vietnam War. The rest of time, we stop over some  classic European-style landmarks such as the ornate City Hall, the Opera House (only be viewed from the outside), Central Post Office. Dinner and Overnight in Hochiminh city

DAY 3 : CAN GIO MAGROVE FORES (B,L,D)

After breakfast,  we depar for Can Gio which is a low palm-fringed island sitting at the mouth of the Saigon River, some 25km southeast of HCMC. The Can Gio Mangrove forest is listed UNESCO Biosphere Reserve contains a high degree of biodiversity, with more than 200 species of fauna and 150 species of flora.

First, we arrive Monkey island where is sanctuary of thousands of long-tailed monkeys, crocodile and other wild animals. Visit to Can Gio museum then take canoeing through forest to  former guerilla campsite. Furthermore, you are free to take a walk, take photos and and feed animals.

Lunch and having short break at Can Gio resort. We visit to Whale temple before returning to Hochiminh city. Dinner and Overnight in Hochiminh city

DAY 4 :  MEKONG DELTA      (B,L,D)

After breakfast, we drive more than 1 hour driving to My Tho. On arrival, boat trip on the Mekong river for sightseeing: the view of the river’s banks, fish - floating market and islands of Dragon, Unicorn,Turtle, Phoenix. Visit to the Houseboat fish farms in the Mekong Delta. After that, landing on Unicorn island. Stop at local orchards and try seasonal fruits, listening traditional music. Lunch will be served with “ Elephant Ear fish”. Get on horse cart going through country lanes. Another stop at local farm to see honeybee farm, coconut candy workshop, taste honey bee tea…A short rowing boat trip through canals, you will boarding big boat to return mainland. A short stop at Vinh Trang pagoda before transferred back to Hochiminh city. Free time till cruise dinner along the Saigon river. Overnight in Hochiminh city

DAY 5 :  HOCHIMINH / DEPARTURE              (B)

After breakfast, free time until transfer to the airport for your departure flights.
