FULL DAY CAI BE FLOATING MARKET
The Mekong Delta, "The Land of nine dragons", is the region in Southwestern Vietnam where the Mekong river approaches and empties into the East Sea.
It takes 2,5hrs from Saigon to Cai Be town where we are visiting Cai Be floating market, learning about local lives on water. Then at a local workshop, the locals will show us how they earn their living on making pop rice, rice wine, rice paper …. Lunch will be servered at a local family.
Itinerary:
Pick up time around 8.00am
Departure for Cai be town. On arrival, boarding on big boat to visit colorful Cai Be floating market.
Then, we stop at local workshops where you can see how to make rice paper, coconut candy and pop-rice, rice wine... Continue your trip with rowing boat through smaller canals enjoy the Mekong rural life. You will see traditional houses made of coconut wood and coconut palm leaves and see some activities of the locals with an opportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish...
Lunch at local family. After lunch, we take a walk and then enjoy some kinds of tropical fruits when listening to the traditional music. Another choice is getting a bike to make your own excursion on village paths to see the local farms, houses, real life and the ancestral ways to pick up fruits in Mekong Delta.
Travel back to Saigon around 18.00pm
